Cheviot Learning Trust Staff Prioritise Wellbeing at Second Annual Whole Trust Training Day
Over 500 staff members from all 18 Cheviot Learning Trust schools came together last week for the Trust's second annual staff training day. This year's theme focused on the crucial aspect of staff wellbeing, reflecting the Trust's commitment to creating the best environment for our employees.
Investing in Happy, Healthy Staff for High-Quality Education
The Trust firmly believes that without happy and healthy staff, delivering high quality education is impossible. This dedicated training day served as a platform to explore various aspects of staff wellbeing and equip our staff with practical tools for maintaining their wellbeing throughout the year.
Interactive Sessions on Wellbeing
The day featured an insightful presentation by our partner organisation, Still Human. Their session dove into core questions surrounding workplace wellbeing, including:
What is wellbeing and why is it important?
Whose responsibility is wellbeing at work?
Understanding the demands vs resource model of stress
Exploring the six steps to wellbeing
Empowering Staff with Resources
Following the presentation, staff members discussed the existing Cheviot Learning Trust Staff Wellbeing Charter. This session fostered a collaborative environment where staff shared ideas and activities that can be implemented to reduce stress and prioritise personal wellbeing.
The day concluded with a sense of shared commitment to creating a work environment that actively supports staff wellbeing. This positive atmosphere is essential for fostering a thriving community within the Trust, allowing staff to excel in their roles and ultimately deliver exceptional education for our students.
Investing in our staff is an investment in our future. The Cheviot Learning Trust remains dedicated to providing our team with the resources and support needed for personal and professional growth.
